October 1st and 2nd, I gave a free online live light painting workshop.

Two days of step by step for beginners and advance light painters.

I shared lot’s of secrets on how to get great sharp portraits with basic face lighting and original backgrounds. We saw some of my special effects doing fire and water with flash lights and colour gel.

Here you can see the result of the workshop with our great model Agnes and the make up by Simone.

Thanks to the great team of Learnsterpro.com

Post by Alan Mckee. I took Patrick Rochon’s Lightpainting 2 day workshop. I feel I got an amazing amount out of it, even though I am already a professional artist. Patrick is a superb teacher and leaves no stone unturned to help new lightpainters get a surprisingly in-depth understanding, even from a standing start. Not only is every facet of light painting practice discussed, it is demonstrated, too. If you are interested in Lightpainting and are looking for a good place to start, here it is. Don’t worry that the workshop is taped. Patrick’s skill and knowledge makes the workshop seem like a live event. If you have any questions at all, I found Patrick very accessible and more than helpful. With all the junk on the web I was delighted to find such superb training. Bravo, Patrick. He also sells the tools he discusses on his Light Painting Shop. He also urges the use of Dollar store items that cost very little. In my case, I purchased over $100 worth of equipment from him. My order was filled promptly and everything I ordered was exactly as described.

In an age of scammers and online fakes, Patrick is the real thing. That is why I am writing such a long positive review.
